Border Patrol agents in the Tucson Sector have been overwhelmed by the influx of migrants, with most non-essential duties eliminated to focus on processing and caring for the large number of migrants.
Social media postings from the sector have been paused due to the migration surge.
The sector recorded nearly 58,000 migrant apprehensions in 28 days, with over 15,000 arrests in the last week. (Trending: Chilling Surveillance Program Under Biden Exposed)

More than 5,000 migrants are being detained in the sector, and hundreds are staged at field rally points awaiting transport to processing centers.
“In light of the ongoing migration surge, all Tucson Sector Border Patrol social media accounts will be paused until further notice. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this challenging time. Honor First,” Border Patrol Chief John R. Modlin posted.
The surge involves migrants from various countries, contributing to processing delays.
The cancellation of field patrols and checkpoint operations is seen as a national security risk.
More than 2.8 million migrants have had encounters with authorities so far in 2023. This is already higher than the 2.7 million migrants encountered in 2022.
