A recent report from NBC News provided insights into challenges facing President Biden’s reelection campaign.

It described Biden lashing out at advisers after being told his poll numbers had dropped in key swing states due to his handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

“In a private meeting at the White House in January, allies of the president had just told him that his poll numbers in Michigan and Georgia had dropped over his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas,” one report noted.

“Both are battleground states he narrowly won four years ago, and he can’t afford any backsliding if he is to once again defeat Donald Trump. He began to shout and swear, a lawmaker familiar with the meeting said,” the report added.

Biden was reportedly frustrated that he was not receiving more recognition for his work, despite record-low approval ratings and issues like high inflation.

The report also noted clashes over messaging strategy and concerns about Biden’s advanced age, though advisers believe he can still defeat Trump in 2024 if he can boost his approval ratings, which currently hover in the high 30s.
