Two new polls show former President Donald Trump with an edge over President Joe Biden in hypothetical 2024 matchups.
A J.L. Partners/Daily Mail poll found Trump leading a five-way field with 43% to Biden’s 39%, while independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. garnered 7%.
“Though he has a more favorable view among those who were already voting for him, few have changed their minds since our last poll and Trump remains on course to win the popular vote,” J.L. Partners co-founder James Johnson said.

A separate HarrisX/Forbes poll also showed Trump ahead of Biden in a five-way race and in a head-to-head matchup before undecided voters were pushed to choose, though Biden and Trump tied at 50% each when leaners were included.
Trump led Biden 46% to 43% without third parties.
Both polls, which sampled over 1,000 registered or likely voters in late March, found Trump performing strongly with Republicans while Biden had an edge with Democrats, with the candidates in a virtual tie among independents.
