Hillary Clinton turned a Republican attack line back on Donald Trump by tweeting that the only person who was better off four years ago under Trump’s presidency was Trump himself.
Republicans, including Lara Trump and Rep. Elise Stefanik, had begun asking if voters were better off now under Joe Biden than four years ago under Donald Trump, updating Ronald Reagan’s 1980 question.
Clinton responded that with Trump facing multiple indictments and $500 million in civil liability, he was likely the only person who personally benefited from his chaotic presidency amid the mishandled COVID pandemic response.
