A poll commissioned by Tea Party Patriots found overwhelming support among voters for restricting voting in US elections to American citizens only.

Specifically, 85-86% of voters said only citizens should be allowed to vote in federal and local elections.

Nearly 80% supported laws banning foreign interference in elections, including voting.

Over 83% endorsed requiring proof of citizenship for voting and voter registration.

“We are just months away from one of the most important elections in our lifetime, and the security of those elections is under siege from an invasion of foreigners crossing our borders illegally,” Tea Party Patriots’ Jenny Beth Martin said.

“Some of them could ultimately vote in our elections with few barriers stopping them,” she said.

Experts commented that noncitizen voting represents the greatest threat to the 2024 election integrity and that states must implement citizenship requirements to preserve fairness.

“It’s simple, Americans want to protect American democracy and American elections from the foreign interference of allowing noncitizens to vote,” pollster John McLaughlin said. “American voters want to protect their vote from being canceled out by the vote of noncitizens.”

The poll aimed to gauge support for securing elections amid concerns over illegal immigration and potential noncitizen voting impacts.
