A former senior Biden official criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ approach to immigration and the border, suggesting she was ineffective and didn’t see it as her responsibility, according to a report from Fox News.
Harris focused on addressing the root causes of immigration from the Northern Triangle countries and blamed Republicans for politicizing the border crisis.
“She’s been at best ineffective, and at worst sporadically engaged and not seeing it was her responsibility. It’s an opportunity for her, and she didn’t fill the breach,” the official said.

The Biden administration faced internal turmoil, with clashes between Harris and former Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice.
President Biden also expressed frustration and criticized his team’s handling of the crisis.
