President Biden has asserted that climate change is the sole existential threat, surpassing nuclear war.

This claim contrasts with the concerns of ordinary Americans, as a recent poll ranks immigration, inflation, and the economy as top issues, while climate change ranks tenth.

“There is only one existential threat we face in this world, and that’s the environment,” Biden said.

“I mean, it literally is the existential threat.”

“It’s even more consequential than nuclear power, nuclear war,” he said.

“That would be horrible and awful, and it would just make the environment incredibly worse. But it’s about the environment,” he said.

Despite public sentiment, Biden has consistently emphasized climate change as the paramount concern, having made the assertion 49 times in the last year.

The disconnect highlighted the disparity in priorities between the administration and the public.
