Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who charged Donald Trump with election interference, addressed allegations of an improper relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade, implying racial bias in the accusations.

Willis denied the claims and defended her actions, pointing out that her white colleagues were not targeted.

Willis reportedly visited the White House for a five-hour meeting with Kamala Harris before indicting Trump. Wade also had two eight-hour meetings at the White House in 2022, according to a bombshell court filing by Trump co-defendant Michael Roman.

“They only attacked one,” Willis said. “First thing they say, ‘Oh, she’s gonna play the race card now.’”

“But no God, isn’t it them that’s playing the race card when they only question one,” she added.

“The district attorney chose to appoint her romantic partner, who at all times relevant to this prosecution has been a married man,” court documents stated.

“Isn’t it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years,” Willis said.

The court filing suggests financial benefits from the relationship and calls for disqualification of the DA’s office from prosecuting the case. Willis allegedly collaborated with the January 6 Committee to obtain evidence against Donald Trump and co-defendants.

The collaboration was kept secret and may have violated discovery requirements. The committee shared evidence with Willis before a grand jury was convened, and later destroyed its records.

The evidence collection process may have infringed on the civil rights of defendants and witnesses.

“Much of the January 6 Committee’s evidence was collected and presented in ways that violated the civil rights of defendants and witnesses, thanks to the fact that then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blocked Republicans from appointing committee members of their choice,” one report noted.
