President Joe Biden, 81, has expressed his intention to run for reelection, citing the need to prevent former President Donald Trump from winning.

His remarks come amid concerns from some Democrats and media outlets about his ability to defeat Trump, given his age and declining polling numbers.

Critics have urged Biden to reconsider his candidacy, emphasizing the importance of considering the country’s best interests. (Trending: Hunter Biden Indicted on 9 New Criminal Charges)

“Would you be running if Trump wasn’t running?” a reporter asked Biden.

“I expect so,” answered Biden.

“But he is running, and — I just — I have to run,” said the Democrat Party’s top pick for president.
“If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running,” said Biden to reporters a day earlier.

Biden added that he “cannot let him [Trump] win.”

Polling data shows Biden’s approval rating at a low point, with Trump leading in key swing states and among certain demographics.

Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned that, “If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party.”

“What he needs to decide is whether that is wise, whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s,” stressed Axelrod.
