Megyn Kelly pledged to address gender-affirming care for transgender kids during the GOP primary debate, leading to attacks on the queer community by the Republican candidates.
Kelly’s statements about surgeries and medical transition for trans youth are not supported by medical guidance, and most trans youth do not undergo surgeries.
The AMA found that gender-affirming care significantly reduces depression and suicidal ideology in trans youth. (Trending: Biden Bank Records Reveal Another Massive Bombshell)
“The surgeries done on minors involve cutting off body parts at a time when these kids cannot even legally smoke a cigarette,” highlighted Kelly.
“Kids who go from puberty blockers to cross-sex hormones are at a much greater likelihood of winding up sterile,” claimed the moderator, before asking, “How is it that you think a parent should be able to OK these surgeries, never mind the sterilization of a child?”
“Aren’t you way too out of step on this issue to be the Republican nominee?” she concluded.
“I believe there is no one who loves my children more than me,” answered Chris Christie.
Adding, “Not some government bureaucrat.”
Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy contributed by declaring “transgenderism” a “mental health disorder.”
Despite medical support for gender-affirming care, the Republican Party has adopted anti-LGBTQ+ bills and embraced anti-trans laws, disregarding the well-being of queer youth.
