Nevada has indicted six alternate electors who were prepared to object to the 2020 election if called upon by then-Vice President Mike Pence.
These individuals, including GOP officials, face charges related to submitting false elector certificates with the intent to defraud U.S. government officials.

Nevada’s Attorney General, a Democrat, emphasized the importance of challenging attacks on democracy.
“We cannot allow attacks on democracy to go unchallenged,” Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford stated.
“Today’s indictments are the product of a long and thorough investigation, and as we pursue this prosecution, I am confident that our judicial system will see justice done.”
This action in Nevada follows similar charges in other states, such as Michigan and Georgia, against individuals involved in the 2020 election process.
