The New York Times interviewed Black voters who expressed hesitation and concern about voting for President Biden in 2024, citing his age and unfulfilled Democratic promises to Black Americans.

Some believe that Republicans may attract more of the African American vote due to their message of financial independence.

“The Run-Up” podcast from the NY Times features interviews with Black friends and family members, revealing reluctance to vote for the Democratic Party. (Trending: SNL Legend Unleashes On Democrats)

“I probably would not vote for either. I don’t like either one,” answered one guest.

“But it’s like, am I gonna vote for someone who I absolutely don’t want and then vote for someone who I really don’t want either?” she asked those that moaned at her answer.

“I’ve been let down by Obama. Do you hear me?” said another guest.

“I feel as though he could have done more for us,” he continued.

“I feel as though – specifically Chicagomans, that’s where he comes from. After seeing you know, Trump and all that he did, it’s like, ‘Man, Obama, you could’ve did the same thing!” exclaimed the guest.

“I think that appeals to more men that are disenfranchised that want to take another step financially within their communities,” revealed the guest.

Adding, “I honestly feel that the Democratic Party has forgot about the Black male.”

“We talk about the negatives of Trump often, but we don’t talk about the negatives of Biden,” contributed another guest.

“In a world of today’s politics where most policies are written by think tanks and groups of people, Biden hand wrote a policy that resulted in more Black people being locked up than ever in the history of America,” he added.

Some express disheartenment with Obama’s administration and feel that the Democratic Party has forgotten about Black men.

There is also criticism of Biden’s age and his policies affecting the Black community.
