U.S. Rep. Scott Perry is facing criticism from both Democrats and Republicans in Pennsylvania for his involvement in ex-President Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

The FBI confiscated Perry’s phone as part of a probe into these efforts, and Democratic candidates are hoping to capitalize on voter sentiment against Perry’s role in the ‘Big Lie.’

Pennsylvania Republicans against Trump have also joined the race to oust Perry, with the “Republicans Against Perry” group intending to support a competitive Democratic candidate in the general election. (Trending: US Troops Deliver Devastating Blow to Biden)

“We think he deserves to be replaced, and we think he can be replaced,” said Pennsylvania Republican operative Craig Snyder.

“Democratic strategist Mike Minkus pressed, “Everything from his attempts to steal the 2020 presidential election, to his extreme views on issues that are important like abortion, I think this district is primed to be extremely competitive.”

“It’s never a good thing with voters when the FBI seizes your cellphone.”
