The company owning Miss Universe filed for bankruptcy due to a liquidity problem, but assured that the upcoming pageant will proceed as planned.

The organization aims to host Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador, emphasizing a top-notch experience for fans.
JKN Global Group posted a statement that said it has a “strategic corporate financial management plan to cope with the current financial situation.”
“We are confident that the new plan will support all of the company’s business operations, including Miss Universe,” continued the statement.

“We confirm that Miss Universe 2023 will be held in El Salvador on 18 November 2023, where a top notch experience provided to our fans will remain our top priorities,” claimed JKN.
“We reaffirm that the legacy of Miss Universe will be carried on by JKN Global Group as envisioned from the beginning,” concluded the jeopardized group.
The Miss Universe competition has drawn criticism during their public handling and changing of their transgender policies.
In 2022, Miss Universe posted controversial guidelines on how to discuss menstruation.

The company’s rehabilitation plan seeks to adjust debt terms and position itself as the orchestrator.
Notably, the pageant will feature two transgender women contestants for the first time.
