During an appropriations hearing, Senator Josh Hawley revealed social media posts from a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee expressing pro-Hamas sentiments and anti-Israel views.
The employee’s statements were described as extreme, and raised great concerns.

“This is pretty extreme rhetoric. Don’t you think?” pressed Hawley.
Additionally, Israel reported that the recent Hamas attack and rocket fire from Gaza resulted in over 1,400 deaths since October 7.
