A New York Times/Siena College poll found that voters’ views of Donald Trump’s presidency improved after Joe Biden took office.

Compared to their assessments in 2020, more voters now say Trump’s time in office was good for the country, approve of his handling of the economy, law and order, and immigration.

Nearly half believe the country was better off under Trump.

In contrast, costs have risen sharply and crises emerged under Biden.

The poll suggests many voters have developed a rosier outlook on Trump’s administration as they contend with current challenges.

Groups like white voters without college degrees particularly favor Trump, but positive views of his presidency now extend to demographics like Hispanic voters and those over 30 across income levels.

The shift underscores how perceptions have changed even as Trump faces ongoing legal issues.
