Former US President Barack Obama paid a private visit to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at his residence in Downing Street while in London for meetings related to his foundation.
The only topic publicly reported as being discussed between the two leaders was artificial intelligence.
“I think President Obama’s team made contact and obviously the prime minister was very happy to meet with him and discuss the work of the Obama Foundation,” Sunak’s representative said.

No other details of their meeting were revealed.
Obama also met with British opposition Labour Party leader Keir Starmer during his trip but the discussions were not disclosed.
It was Obama’s first visit to Downing Street since leaving office in 2017.
His last trip to the UK in 2016 saw him warn against Britain supporting Brexit, though voters subsequently approved leaving the European Union.
