Many are gearing up for the rare appearance of the Pons-Brooks comet, nicknamed the “Devil comet”, which is visible every 71 years.
It is currently visible through telescopes but may be visible to the naked eye during the total solar eclipse on April 8th.
The comet gets its nickname due to outbursts that make it over 100 times brighter.
Some speculate its appearance during the solar eclipse could be a sign from God, as astronomical phenomena were used in the Bible to convey divine messages.
Some argued that while the comet may not literally be a prophecy, its observation could cause people to stop, consider, and repent – reflecting on the current state of moral and political turmoil in the Western world.
These include nuclear tensions, overpopulation concerns, radical environmentalism supplanting worship of God, and the promotion of deviant sexuality and transgenderism.
The rare celestial event is presented as an opportunity to look to the heavens and reflect on societal faults, as was the intent of signs in the past.
