During an interview, Vice President Kamala Harris acknowledged the lack of bipartisanship in Congress when asked about executive orders, stating “the American people deserve leadership that’s about fixing problems, and that’s why he’s going to lose in November.”

The White House will likely respond to this gaffe by explaining Vice President Harris is fixated on the prospect of Trump losing in November. However, she made this statement in response to a question asking why Biden won’t fix problems through executive action.

“The American people deserve leadership that’s about fixing problems, and that’s why he’s going to lose in November,” Harris said.

“We have a lot of work to be done, but let us not negate the role and responsibility of leaders in Congress,” Harris added.

An NBC poll found former President Trump leading Biden by 5 points among voters, Trump’s biggest lead over Biden in 16 polls, as Biden’s approval rating declined to 37% approve and 60% disapprove.

Other polls show Trump ahead of Biden by an average of 5 points in key swing states.

“These are some truly stunning numbers,” NBC’s Kristen Welker said.

“They really are. Kristen,” election analyst Steve Kornacki said. “Let’s just start with the bottom line. When you ask folks, ‘Hey, if it’s the general election and it’s Trump versus Biden,’ our poll, Donald Trump now leads Joe Biden by five points. Compare that to the last time we polled back in November. Trump was ahead then, but it was only by two points.”

“It’s even more significant when you look at it this way over time,” he said. “We have been testing for five years now, going back to 2019, a Biden Trump matchup. Remember 2019, 2020, Joe Biden led. He led big in every single one of our polls. For the first time in November, Donald Trump polled ahead in our poll, and now at five points.”

“This is the biggest lead NBC has ever had in 16 polls for Donald Trump over Joe Biden,” he added. “And of course undergirding. All of this is this question of he’s the incumbent, Joe Biden. We ask voters, what do you think of the job he’s doing? And look at that, Kristen, 37% approve and now 60% disapprove.”

Further complicating Biden’s prospects is that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is poised to take more votes from Biden than Trump in key swing states like Nevada, Arizona and Georgia that Biden narrowly won in 2020.

Unless Biden significantly improves his standing, the article suggests Harris will be proven right that the current leadership will lose in the next election.
