CNN hosts begrudgingly acknowledged that Donald Trump has emerged as the clear frontrunner for the 2024 Republican nomination and presidential election based on the latest polling trends.

Key swing states such as Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania that Biden won in 2020 are now toss-ups or leaning Republican.

“So folks, if you have it in your mind that Donald Trump is just popular enough to win the Republican nomination, lose that thought, because at this particular point, when matched up against Joe Biden, Donald Trump is a favorite which is something we couldn’t say at any point in 2020 and really wasn’t something that we could say at any point in 2016 when he was matched up against Hillary Clinton,” CNN’s Harry Enten said.

Meanwhile, progressive voters in Minnesota rejected Biden in the Democratic primary, with “Uncommitted” receiving a sizable share of votes.

Recent polls also show Trump gaining among key Democratic constituencies like young voters and Black voters.

While the White House insists Biden is a steady leader, his advanced age and low approval continue raising doubts about his reelection prospects.

Nikki Haley ended her long-shot GOP primary bid, cementing Trump’s control of the Republican nomination race as he has secured over 990 delegates already.
