The Biden campaign announced a $30 million ad campaign in key battleground states, seeking to boost support for the president ahead of the 2023 midterms and a potential rematch with Trump in 2024.

The ads will highlight Biden’s agenda on COVID recovery, prescription drugs, infrastructure, climate, and abortion rights, but avoid mentioning the overturning of Roe v. Wade directly.

They target minority and youth voters on social media and cable.

The campaign comes as several new national polls show Biden falling behind Trump, with the former president leading by 4 points in one CBS News poll.

Trump also leads among those prioritizing the economy or immigration.

A Reagan biographer was sharply critical of Biden, predicting honest historians will view him as the worst president given his angry State of the Union address and polls showing Trump ahead of him.

He described scholars rating Biden as the 14th greatest president as left-wing academics.

“It made me gag,” Ronald Reagan biographer Craig Shirley said.

“Joe Biden is a terrible, terrible person. He is going to go down in history by honest historians as the worst president in American history,” he said.
