Former President Donald Trump visited the U.S.-Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas, joining Governor Greg Abbott in a standoff with the Biden Administration over border security.
Texas officials have refused federal access to a seized park, leading to the construction of barriers.
“Nice weather, beautiful day, but a very dangerous border,” Trump said. “But we’re gonna take care of it.”
Trump toured the area with Texas law enforcement, expressing concern over the border’s danger.
During the visit, Trump received a warm reception and waved to onlookers on the Mexican side who cheered for him.
“They love Trump. Can you believe it?” Trump said, smirking.
