Donald Trump was reminded of his popular vote losses during an interview at Mar-a-Lago club.
Despite losing the popular vote in both 2016 and 2020, Trump falsely claimed voter fraud and continues to assert the elections were stolen.
“Let’s talk about winning that popular vote. How would that make you feel? To win the popular vote?” Right Side Broadcasting Network’s Brian Glenn asked.
Trump criticized mail-in voting and reiterated his election lies, stating he believes he would win the popular vote if it were fair.
“I don’t need votes. We have all the votes we need. We have to stop the cheating,” Trump said. “Because I actually think we would win the popular vote if it was — If God came down and was your vote counter where it would be honest, I think we win the popular vote. But they’ve cheated for years.”
The interviewer, Glenn, has made controversial remarks about liberal women in the past.
“I believe that conservative and Republican people are better-looking people,” Glenn said previously. “They’re happy. They’re joyous. They exercise. They get outside. They enjoy the outdoors. They’re proud of themselves. Liberal women tend to be some of the ugliest women I’ve ever seen.”
Greene, Glenn’s partner, faced backlash for telling a journalist to “[expletive] off” when questioned about conspiracy theories.
