In the Republican presidential primary in Bamberg County, South Carolina, former President Donald Trump won over Bamberg native Nikki Haley by a significant margin.
Local residents expressed strong support for Trump due to his track record and base loyalty, even though some believed Haley put up a good fight.
“Trump has got it. Trump has a track record. Nikki Haley does not,” Denmark resident Jerome Boyce said.
Trump is our nominee.
I know that might be tough for the never-Trumpers and swamp monsters in Washington DC to accept, but it’s the truth.
Nikki Haley should quit wasting time and money and get behind our nominee.

“It is astonishing to me that people are choosing Trump in her hometown,” Bamberg County Republican Party chairwoman Sharon Carter said. “Because people who do know her know that she’s an authentically real person.”
“It will not look good for any candidate if you don’t win your home state. Trump just has so much base that they’re not going to change,” voter Randy Maxwell said.
Despite the loss, Haley’s future in the campaign seems uncertain as Trump’s campaign managers predict his nomination by mid-March.
