Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign and her recent comments criticizing Donald Trump have come under fire from her critics.
In a Fox News interview, Haley attempted to blast Trump on Russia but host Harris Faulkner interjected, noting Trump did not face a Putin invasion unlike other recent presidents.
Haley was repeating a “ridiculous claim” that Trump supports Putin, originating from left-wing media. Faulkner quickly fact-checked her on Trump’s actual record with Russia.

“Ambassador, I understand that you take it that way, and that that’s what you heard, and we’ll have to see how all of this plays out. This president [meaning, Trump] didn’t have an invasion by Putin on his watch, the only one in recent presidents. So, there is that to be said about him,” Faulkner said.
Critics have pressed that Haley should base criticisms on facts, not lies from left-wing media, which exacerbates perceptions she is more left-leaning than conservative.

Her campaign has made other blunders reinforcing this, such as an appearance on SNL mocking Trump and sharing fake supporter messages online.
If Haley wants to win the nomination, she will undoubtedly need to get her facts straight before criticizing Trump’s foreign policy, as it may be too late to salvage her struggling campaign.
