During the visit, which marked the show’s 10th anniversary, Meyers jokingly asked Biden about conservative claims of a plot between him, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to secure their endorsement for 2024.
While smiling, Biden played along but did not confirm or deny it, noting Swift had endorsed him in 2020.
“Can you confirm or deny that there is an active conspiracy between you and Miss Swift?,” Meyers asked Biden.
“Where are you getting this information? It’s classified. That’s classified information,” Biden said, smiling. “But I will tell you, she did endorse me in 2020.”
Biden also poked fun at Donald Trump, who at 77 would be the oldest president, by saying Trump cannot remember his wife’s name.
The president highlighted wanting to protect positions on issues like Roe v. Wade from Trump’s desires to reverse them.
Trump is “about as old as I am but he can’t even remember his wife’s name,” Biden said. “It’s about how old your ideas are,” he added.
“This about a guy who wants to take us back, he wants to take us back on Roe V. Wade, he wants to take us back on a whole range of issues that for 50-60 years they have been solid American positions.”
