At a town hall, Donald Trump explained why he continues his political mission despite facing criminal charges, civil penalties, and attempts to remove him from office and ballots.
When asked directly by Fox News host Laura Ingraham why he doesn’t quit, Trump said he can’t because he wants to “make America great again” and right now it’s not great.
“You ever just say to yourself, you know, ‘I’m done’?” Ingraham asked.

“I can’t,” Trump said.
“But why? A lot of people would’ve said, I’m going to come out,” she said. “Why are you staying in this?
Trump said he feels an obligation to America to continue working to fix problems like the border and inflation.
“I can’t because I want to make America great again,” Trump said. “It’s not great right now. And we can do that. We can do that. We can do it. We can do it. We can get it fixed. It’s harder now.”
“It would’ve been so much easier if we just finished off that four. Everything would’ve been so perfect. We had the border set. Everything was set to rock and roll. We had no inflation.”
“So you feel like you have an obligation to America?” Laura asked.
“I do,” Trump said.
Trump views himself as more than a candidate – his spirit in not giving up on the country, even after paying a heavy personal price, is meant to inspire other Americans to never quit on the nation.
The town hall audience applauded Trump’s refusal to stop fighting for his political goals.
