Former White House doctor Ronny Jackson, now a Republican congressman, is accused of distributing pills without prescriptions and providing healthcare while disregarding medical procedures, earning nicknames like “Dr Feelgood” and “the Candyman.”
Allegations include handing out stimulants and sedatives without prescriptions and faking identities for free healthcare.
“This isn’t a partisan issue – it’s a Ronny Jackson issue,” a former colleague stated.
“It was bad under Obama, and it got worse under Trump,” they said.
The Pentagon report highlighted severe issues within the medical unit, including improper drug dispensing and lack of fentanyl supply record-keeping.
Jackson defended his actions, stating that White House lawyers approved his decisions and narcotics were prescribed sparingly.
“It was full-blown, over-the-top, concierge executive medicine, and we did it better than anybody else on the planet. As a result, everyone treated me and my team very well,” Jackson said.
“The entire medical unit had a special place in the hierarchy of the White House… I had a lot more to offer than any doctor they had ever had before, and they needed me close by.”
“They would give out anything, right from the bottle, no prescription needed,” former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said.
The unit was criticized for wasting taxpayer money on branded drugs and failing to adhere to federal regulations.
