Elon Musk commented on President Biden not taking a cognitive test during his upcoming physical, saying the leader of the free world shouldn’t have that option.

Musk posted, “Passing a basic cognitive test should not be optional for someone who controls the nuclear football!”

Musk’s remarks echoed calls from Nikki Haley that public officials over 75 should undergo mental competency evaluations.

This comes amid signs of Biden’s cognitive decline at age 81, the oldest president.

A DOJ report on Biden mishandling classified documents noted it would be difficult to convict him as a sympathetic elderly man.

Department of Justice Special Counsel Robert Hur wrote, Biden “would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory. … It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his 80s — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

Republicans have also questioned the mental acuity of Donald Trump, 77, the frontrunner to win the GOP nomination in 2024.

If elected at 78, Trump would be the oldest incoming president.

Musk stressed the importance of cognitive tests for someone controlling nuclear weapons.
