Tony Bobulinski, a witness in the House impeachment inquiry, accused a Democratic congressman of misrepresenting his testimony about Joe Biden’s role in his family’s business dealings.
Bobulinski, one of the most knowledgeable former Biden associates, provided allegations to investigators about Joe Biden maintaining plausible deniability while the family business profited from foreign entities like CEFC China Energy.
He alleged Joe Biden was “the brand” sold to enrich the family and “enabled” Hunter Biden to sell access.
The congressman claimed Bobulinski provided no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden.
However, Bobulinski’s attorney slammed this as a “grotesque mischaracterization” and vowed Bobulinski would defend his reputation against “falsehoods.”
“Minority assassination of Mr. Bobulinski’s character and grotesque mischaracterizations of his words will only serve to highlight the gaslighting and vilification Mr. Bobulinski has endured since he reluctantly came forward almost four years ago to share with the public the facts of his business experience with the Biden family,” attorney Stefan Passantino wrote.
He confirmed meeting Joe Biden in 2017 to discuss business with CEFC and a 2020 message referencing Joe Biden related to Hunter Biden.
The House probe also found Joe Biden received money from family members engaged in foreign business ventures.
