Couple wearing Cookie Monster pants accused of armed robbery

A couple accused of armed robbery at a Florida store also face animal cruelty charges after police found neglected French bulldogs suffering from skin conditions and open sores in their home.

The suspects, Charlie Jorge Perez and Jalina Analise Sepulveda, were arrested and charged with animal cruelty and robbery with a firearm.

Cape Coral Police Department reported being informed that Perez, “flashed a gun in his waistband and made threats.”

The animals were seized by Animal Control for treatment, and the couple relinquished ownership.

Perez faces four animal cruelty charges and one robbery charge, while Sepulveda faces four animal cruelty charges, one robbery charge, and a battery charge.

Both are in custody awaiting a court appearance on March 5.
