Jeff Bezos filed documents with the SEC indicating he sold nearly $4 billion worth of Amazon stock in two separate transactions.

In the first filing, Bezos notified regulators that he sold 11.997 million shares worth over $2 billion between February 7-8.

A separate earlier filing this week was for another $2 billion in stock sales.

Combined, the two filings represent Bezos selling approximately $4 billion of his Amazon shares.

Bezos stepped down as Amazon CEO last year to focus on other ventures like his rocket company Blue Origin and philanthropic initiatives, though he remains Amazon’s executive chairman.

The stock sales come after Bezos significantly increased his wealth as one of the founders and largest individual shareholders of Amazon.
