During an interview at the 2024 World Government Summit in Dubai, Tucker Carlson defended Vladimir Putin by stating that “Every leader kills people, leadership requires killing.”

He justified his approach in the interview with Putin by emphasizing his goal to let Putin speak and hear his thoughts, rather than positioning himself as the “good guy” challenging Putin.

Egyptian journalist Emad Eldin Adeeb said, “I’m not going to lecture you, but you should challenge some ideas.”

“You did not talk about freedom of speech, you did not talk about Navlny…” continued Adeeb.

Carlson said, “Every leader kills people, leadership requires killing.”

Carlson dismissed criticism, including Hillary Clinton’s remarks, and praised Moscow while criticizing American cities for their state of cleanliness and safety.

”I don’t like the internet and I haven’t seen any of the reactions,” said Carlson.

“She’s a child, I don’t listen to her,” quipped Carlson about Clinton.

He also expressed disapproval of drug use and graffiti in Western cities.

Carlson claimed, “Moscow is so much nicer than any city in my country, cleaner and safer and prettier. I grew up in a country that had cities like Moscow and Abu Dhabi, and Singapore and Tokyo, and we no longer have them.”

Carlson’s history of supporting pro-Putin positions and criticizing Putin’s enemies was also highlighted.
