Pennsylvania State Rep. Kevin Boyle (D-Philadelphia) was involved in a heated incident at a bar in Rockledge, Pennsylvania, where he was caught on camera making aggressive statements and refusing to leave.

The exact cause of the incident was not clear, but Boyle was recorded making threatening remarks, including references to his position of power.

Rep. Boyle said, “I can f—— end this bar, by the way. I’ll f—— end this bar by the way.”

“No, no, no. Get the f— out of the f—— bar,” replied a woman from inside.

“Why are you doing this to me? Stop it, stop it!” demanded Boyle.

Boyle said, “You can’t talk to me like this, okay? I’ll close your f—— bar. This bar is done. Do you know who the f— I am? This bar is done tomorrow! Do you know who the f— I am?”

A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania House Democratic Leaders acknowledged the video, expressing concern and stating that Boyle was seeking help for personal challenges.

The spokesperson wrote in a statement, “It is very troubling. Rep. Boyle has been open about his personal challenges. We are encouraged that our colleague and dear friend is seeking help.”

“No person who uses or threatens to use his or her position of power in this manner should be allowed to serve in government——note SERVE,” commented an X user.

“He should have went to Cheers,” mocked another.

Boyle had previously faced legal issues, having been arrested and charged with harassment and violating a protection from abuse order filed by his wife in 2021.

This incident follows previous reports of Boyle’s removal from his position as House Finance Committee chairman and restricted access to the Capitol after his arrest in 2021.

NBC 10 reported, “Following his arrest in 2021, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Boyle was removed from his position as House Finance Committee chairman and had his access to the Capitol limited for unknown reasons.”
