Florida Democrats are looking to pop star Taylor Swift to potentially influence the state’s political landscape in their favor.
They hope Swift’s concerts and new album will encourage voter engagement and discussions on issues relevant to young people in Florida.
“It’s so close to the election, and we hope that there’s a message included to encourage folks, especially her fans, to go vote,” Rep. Maxwell Frost said.
“We need the help.”
With the state leaning Republican and the GOP holding significant influence, Democrats see Swift’s potential endorsement as a valuable asset.
“People care about her. People understand the importance of her. She is a youth icon,” Jayden D’Onofrio said.
Swift’s previous political activism has shown the potential to impact voter preferences, with a poll indicating that her endorsement could sway a notable percentage of voters.
