Republican Sen. Rick Scott called for President Joe Biden’s cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s declining mental state.

The report highlighted Biden’s “significantly limited” memory and his struggles to recall important events, including the death of his son Beau.

Sen. Scott wrote, “This report labels Biden as a ‘well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’ That does not describe someone who should be the Commander in Chief of our armed forces and the defender of American freedoms.”

“It’s time for his cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment,” he continued.

Scott argued that the description of Biden as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” is not fitting for the Commander in Chief.

The 25th Amendment, if invoked, would remove Biden as president and replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris.

The amendment provides a procedure for replacing a president or vice president in the event of incapacitation, resignation, removal, or death.
