Former President Trump called for Americans to give Bud Light a “second chance” after a marketing controversy involving a transgender influencer sparked a conservative boycott.

Opinions on forgiving the brand varied, with some supporting Trump’s message and others remaining steadfast in their boycott.

“The Bud Light ad was a mistake of epic proportions, and for that a very big price was paid, but Anheuser-Busch is not a Woke company,” Trump wrote. “Anheuser-Busch is a Great American Brand that perhaps deserves a Second Chance? What do you think?”

Bud Light has seen a 30% drop in sales since the controversy.

Critics accused Trump of defending the company due to a fundraiser hosted by a top Republican lobbyist for Anheuser-Busch.

Despite the mixed reactions, some former Bud Light drinkers are considering putting the feud behind them following Trump’s defense of the brand.
