Jerome Brooks, a staffer for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, tragically passed away from a drug overdose, as revealed in the finalized autopsy report.

This followed an incident where Jackson Lee was heard scolding Brooks and another staffer in a leaked audio recording.

The autopsy indicated that Brooks had consumed alcohol, MDMA, methamphetamine, and sildenafil, and collapsed after clutching his chest.

Jackson Lee’s explicit rant towards her staff members was also captured in the recording.

This incident occurred as she was vying for mayor of Houston and involved confrontations about paperwork related to an event honoring a local political figure.
