Larry Page, co-founder of Google, has acquired Cayo Norte, a private island in Puerto Rico, for $32 million.

This purchase adds to his collection of private islands, which now totals five across the Caribbean and the South Pacific.

Page’s intentions for the island remain unclear, though there have been sightings of activities such as hydrofoiling.

The ecological value of the island is significant, and there are hopes for its preservation.

Page’s wife, Lucinda Southworth, has founded a marine-conservation startup called Oceankind.

Beyond his island acquisitions, Page and his Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, have stepped back from Alphabet, maintaining control through special stock privileges.
