Cori Bush, a member of the “squad” of House Democrats, is under investigation by the Department of Justice, the Federal Election Commission, and the House Ethics Committee for alleged illegal spending on security services by her campaign.
She confirmed cooperation with the investigations and defended the use of campaign funds for security.
The investigations come amidst allegations that she spent over $750,000 of government funds on security, including payments to her husband, who reportedly lacked a private security license.

“I can confirm that the Department of Justice is reviewing my campaign’s spending on security services,” Bush stated.
