President Joe Biden’s campaign is planning a fundraiser featuring three Democratic presidents—Biden, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama—in a bid to raise funds and energize Democratic voters ahead of the 2024 election.
The campaign is shifting focus to the general election, increasing hiring and planning a substantial ad campaign.
The fundraiser aims to raise both big and small donations and mobilize the party base.
“It’s going to be very aggressive,” a White House official stated.
However, the move could potentially be viewed differently by some voters, given the popularity of Clinton and Obama among Democrats compared to Biden.
“There is real focus and urgency around making sure we beat Trump,” one Biden adviser stated. “Everyone is all in. And this kind of event early on is just the latest demonstration of that.”
“We’ve mixed up the events so the president is out there talking to people individually,” the White House official said.
Despite challenges, the campaign remains optimistic about improving economic indicators and plans for Biden to engage more directly with Americans on specific issues.
