A majority of likely voters believe that former President Donald Trump should face opponents in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey.
The poll revealed that 51% of respondents think candidates like Nikki Haley should continue campaigning against Trump for the GOP nomination.
However, opinions differ based on party alignment, with 64% of Republicans believing Trump’s opponents should step aside, while 73% of Democrats think they should remain in the race.
“This race is far from over — there are dozens of states left to go,” Haley said.
Trump’s recent victory in New Hampshire has further fueled the debate, with varying opinions among different demographics and voter groups.
