President Joe Biden has given his endorsement to a Senate deal that would significantly increase overall immigration to the United States, negotiated by Senators Lankford and Murphy.

The deal involves expanding legal immigration, expediting work permits for illegal aliens, providing taxpayer-funded lawyers to Unaccompanied Alien Children, and allowing up to 35,000 illegal aliens to arrive at the border every week.

Biden emphasized the importance of securing the border through bipartisan legislation.

Biden wrote, “Securing the border through these negotiations is a win for America. For everyone who is demanding tougher border control, this is the way to do it. If you’re serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it.”

However, Senate Minority Leader McConnell and House Speaker Johnson have expressed opposition to the deal, with former President Trump also opposing the effort.

Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has reportedly welcomed 6.2 million illegal aliens to the U.S. since January 2021 through the Catch and Release network.
