Former President Trump Georgia prosecutor Nathan Wade is facing scrutiny in his divorce case, as his wife’s lawyers accuse him of providing inadequate answers about his alcohol, drug, and medication use.
The divorce has become contentious, with allegations of a secret relationship between Wade and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
Wade has been uncooperative in providing financial records and other information, leading to a civil contempt order.
Mr. Wade “has knowingly obfuscated this civil litigation to his own ends,” his wife’s attorneys noted.
“Furthermore, while earning such substantial sums, [Mr. Wade] has provided nearly nothing to [Mrs. Wade] for her support and survival as her own bank account is often in overdraft.”
His wife’s lawyer informed the judge “I want to know how [Mr. Wade] has been spending his money. I have reason to believe he is spending it on another woman and that’s my client’s money.”
The judge has unsealed the case and ruled that Mrs. Wade has the right to uncover any alleged affair by her husband.
There are allegations of financial impropriety and concerns about how Mr. Wade has been spending money.
