Former President Donald Trump expressed indifference towards Nikki Haley’s continued bid for the Republican presidential nomination after the New Hampshire primary.
Trump, widely expected to win the primary, stated that he does not care if Haley remains in the race.
Despite many contenders exiting the race, Haley’s campaign manager emphasized their determination to continue the bid and not give in to the idea of a Trump coronation.
“No, I don’t care if she stays in,” Trump said. “Let her do whatever she wants. It doesn’t matter.”
“The political class and the media want to give Donald Trump a coronation. They say the race is over,” Haley’s campaign manager Betsy Ankney stated.
“That isn’t how this works,” Ankney said.
“And while members of Congress, the press, and many of the weak-kneed fellas who ran for president are giving up and giving in — we aren’t going anywhere.”
