Hunter Biden’s art dealings and financial support have come under scrutiny.
His paintings sold for $1.5 million, and he received nearly $5 million in loans for taxes and living expenses.
The sales and loans were revealed in House transcripts from a Republican investigation.
“I never had any conversations with the White House,” gallery owner George Berges said.
Three House committees are examining these financial matters for potential influence on President Joe Biden’s administration.
Republicans claim potential corruption, while the White House spokesman dismissed the claims as “House GOP ‘failure theater’.”
“The White House has a lot of explaining to do about misleading the American people,” Rep. James Comer said.
The art buyers’ connections to a presidential commission have raised further concerns.
“Kevin Morris’s massive financial support to Hunter Biden raises ethical and campaign finance concerns for President Joe Biden,” Comer added.
Hunter Biden’s legal and financial interactions will remain closely examined.
“He’s my client,” Morris said, “and he’s my very good friend.”
