U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan postponed E. Jean Carroll’s defamation trial against former President Trump due to a juror’s coronavirus illness, rescheduling it for the day of the New Hampshire Republican primary.

This decision has raised concerns about potential interference in the 2024 election.

Rep. Stefanik posted, “This is blatant election interference!”

“Joe Biden and his Democrat cronies are the true threats to democracy!” she exclaimed.

Trump’s lawyer requested a further delay to avoid Trump’s absence in New Hampshire, while Carroll’s lawyer urged the trial to proceed without delay.

Trump’s lawyer, Alina Habba, said, “I would need his testimony to be Wednesday.”

The judge indicated he would consider the request for postponement.

Roberta Kaplan, Carroll’s lawyer, said, “I’d like to get this trial over with.”
