MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s decision to cut away from former President Trump’s speech due to “untruths” was met with criticism after a video compilation of her debunked on-air narratives went viral.
The clips contradicted her claim about the network not airing “untrue things,” including assertions about Trump’s collusion with Russia and the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.
Critics highlighted the inconsistency, with some labeling her as a “professional serial liar” and criticizing corporate media for similar behavior.

“There is a cost to us, as a news organization, of knowingly broadcasting untrue things,” Maddow said.
“That is a fundamental truth of our business and who we are. And so, his remarks, tonight, will not air here live. We will monitor them and let you know about any news that he makes,” she added.
