Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his 2024 presidential campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.

Trump expressed his gratitude for DeSantis’ endorsement and stated his eagerness to collaborate in defeating Joe Biden.

Despite past disagreements, DeSantis emphasized Trump’s superiority over Biden and criticized the “old Republican guard.”

“Very honored to have his endorsement,” Trump said.

“I look forward to working together with him to beat Joe Biden, who is the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country.”

Trump’s recent victory in the Iowa Caucuses solidified his frontrunner status, and he leads by double digits in New Hampshire ahead of Nikki Haley.

Trump announced the retirement of his nickname “Ron DeSanctimonious” for DeSantis.

DeSantis said, “It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance. They watched his presidency get stymied by relentless resistance and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him.”

“While I have had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden. That is clear.”
