White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre delivered false claims during a press briefing, including misinformation about the Texas border and falsely stating that police officers died as a result of the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
Her statements have been disavowed by the U.S. Department of Justice and the governor of Texas.
The briefing has been criticized for its disingenuousness, with comparisons made to her predecessor, Jen Psaki, who has faced scrutiny for misleading the public about White House ethical processes regarding Hunter Biden’s art.
The claims of walling off the identity of purchasers and the high demand for his art proved to be false. Yet, most of the media appears to be, again, ignoring the story and what it says about not just the ethical questions but its own prior coverage. https://t.co/qGYhdRXuzw

Officer Brian Sicknick’s cause of death was determined to be natural causes, and four officers committed suicide in the weeks and months following the protest.
Other Democrat leaders have included unrelated incidents, such as the killing of Officer Billy Evans, as part of the January 6 “death toll.”
The Biden administration once again pushed a false narrative at the border, now refuted by their own DOJ.
